Last time I rebuilt one it was 13 years ago in high school auto shop.
My bike has about 150 hours and 2600 miles on it. When street bikes change their oil, dirt bikes change their pistons.
Will be replacing the piston, rings, valves, and possible a clutch pack. They’re not broken but they are worn out. Honda valves are notorious for going bad due to their being titanium with a stainless steel coating. Once the coating goes the valve goes fast.
2 hours later I’ve got the head off, and I’ll be sending that to a friends shop on the west coast to be reworked with nice new SS valves. Piston I’ll be doing myself since it is simple on these bikes.
